We have invited two speakers, Mr. Chuck Baclagon from 350.org and Mr. Oscar Gador from Greenpeace. The seminar focused on the importance of environmental sustainability in our lives.

Mr. Baclagon specifically discussed about the topic of climate change, in particular, the interplay between climate science and its impacts seen through the lens of inequality in the society. He also discussed about the proposals for pursuing sustainability that is based on the realities of science and the principles of justice.

Mr. Oscar Gador, on the other hand, discussed about the history, core values, and campaigns of Greenpeace. He also showed us the effect of plastics in our planet, most especially to the oceans and taught us on how we could avoid the use of plastics in our daily lives.

A lot of students from different courses were able to join the seminar to get knowledgeable about how they could be more environmentally sustainable. After the talk of the two speakers, TMSoc also prepared games that are related to what the speakers have discussed for the audience of the seminar.
